Dear Polk County,

We live in a wonderful place, and it is important we maintain it so our children will want to remain here.

We have regional, local and budgetary challenges to overcome and I believe I am well positioned to meet them. Public safety, maintaining our roads, and clean neighborhoods top our list of needs and they are my priorities.

Thank you to friends who have expressed early support. It has been encouraging as the list keeps growing. We hit the mark of 50 unique donors within the first month. For a local campaign that is a strong start. It means a great deal to know we have so many friends and neighbors with the shared interest of keeping Polk County a great place to live.

Thank you,

John Swanson
